PayPal FAQ Section

PayPal - Fund Availability

Funds Availability - Common questions: (See PayPal web site for full information.)
Answers are PayPal Quotes:

"Why is PayPal holding my funds?"
When some sellers receive payments, we may hold the money in their pending balance for up to 21 days.

Can I pay for shipping with money in my pending balance?
When you print labels and pay for shipping through PayPal or eBay, the cost of shipping is released from your pending balance shortly after purchase.

What are some reasons my funds might be held?
(...common reasons we may hold payments...) For full list: PayPal / Who is affected by payment delays?

What is a temporary hold by PayPal?
If you're a new seller, your payments may be delayed by up to 21 days...
Holds are typically placed on:

  • New sellers or sellers who have limited selling activity - until they build up a history of successful transactions.
  • Merchants selling in higher-risk categories like electronics or tickets, where we see higher levels of chargebacks and disputes.
  • Sellers who have performance issues, or a high rate of buyer dissatisfaction or disputes.

PayPal - Account Limitations

Account Limitations and Verification

Withdrawal limits - PayPal Quotes: (See PayPal web site for full information.)

For security reasons, $500 is the most you can withdraw from your PayPal account each month. If you want to withdraw more than $500 per month, just verify your bank account, debit card, or credit card information.

If you don't have a PayPal account (for instance, you made a purchase on eBay as a Guest):
You can send a one-time payment of up to $4,000.

Transaction Limit for PayPal account holders:
You can send up to $10,000 in any one transaction. (This amount can vary depending on your currency.)

Beware & Be Cautious - The world can be a dangerous place so use common sense and caution when meeting new people. There are good people in the world and unfortunately there are bad people. When meeting people, especially through the Internet, you should consult authoritative sources for safety considerations, but here are a couple of reminders of some basic considerations. Never go anywhere with someone you don't know. Always meet new people in a public place, during daylight hours, and meet someplace that is well populated with people. Be sure that someone knows where you are going and perhaps even have another adult accompany you when meeting someone you do not know. Never give out your personal information. This is also good advice for when you are selling items locally to an unknown person. We are not responsible for the people that you meet or any incidents or relationships that arise from those meetings. This site is for adults and as adults you are responsible for your own life and how you handle meeting new people. Please be cautious and stay safe and happy.
